Tracing the Bible

A new exhibit, “Book of Books,” has just opened in the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem. The exhibit traces the dissemination of the Bible and the New Testament from its earliest origins through modernity. The exhibit is the product of a partnership of the Bible Lands Museum with the Green Scholars Initiative and Verbum Domini, a group that hopes to build a museum of the Bible in Washington D.C., near the Smithsonian Institute.

To understand this exhibit fully, one has to understand the nature of the two partners in greater detail and to appreciate the interreligious cooperation that made it possible.
